Here in this world, we have two types of Logic. Classical Logic (Pure Thought) and Intuitive Logic (Emotion, Intuition, Thought, and Pattern Recognition)
In this post, we will discuss Intuitive Logic.
As I said above, Intuitive Logic is based on four factors: Emotion, Intuition, Thought, and Pattern Recognition.
However, IL (Intuitive Logic) is hard to achieve for only one reason. We don’t know much on how to implement it. Do not fret! Although we have little information on it, as long as we implement these four basic principles, we should be fine.
Alright. Here we go!
1. Emotion: Recognize the emotion felt. Do you feel fear? Anger? Maybe perhaps joy? Whatever that Emotion is, recognize it. Thoroughly.
2. Intuition: This is highly related to Emotion. For example, when you sense fear, you run, correct? If you sense joy then you express that joy, right?
3. Thought: With Thought, you think (Obviously). But to what extent? Is it superficial? Is it deep? I recommend that for most Thoughts, you would think somewhere in the middle on how deep you want the thought to be. For example, when you’re afraid, you run, but to where, and how far? Do you run all the way home? Thinking is a muscle, just like our next point.
4. Pattern Recognition: Now, let us recognize some patterns. How do we do that, you may ask? Simple. I am going to give you an example I saw myself somewhere. For example, let’s say you know how the AK-47 sounds, or how a duck sounds, now, let’s say you hear an AK-47 bullet being shot, you recognize it, right? The same with the duck’s sounds, right?
Now that we have these four points pinned down, let me give you an example that I saw somewhere else.
Let’s say you’re at a concert, dancing and fireworks and all is bliss. However, you notice that something’s off. A sense of dread comes in (Emotion), but you brush it off using Classical Logic. You think to yourself “Those are just my emotions”. Then you hear something, you’re tempted to run (Intuition). Then you ask yourself, “Was that just my imagination?” (Thought). Then finally you hear something. Something… scary. It sounds just like an AK-47 shot, or maybe a Glock (Pattern Recognition).
Now, what do you do? Do you run with your loved ones to safety? Or do you use Classic Logic and die in the process? The choice is yours to make.
Don’t forget that this example was used in the Classical way of IL (or Intuitive Logic). Feel free to re-arrange and modify these factors and come up with new ways to use Logic.
Of course Classical Logic has its strong points too, and as such Intuitive Logic (or IL) may not always be the exact solution that you’re looking for. However, it is good to train in all these aspects. We need to be safe, from whatever dangers arise, and not only physical dangers. Emotional dangers, psychological dangers, etc., etc. you get my point.
And the most wonderful thing that Intuitive Logic has is that it can be used for absolutely anything, including philosophy!
